The World Health Organization defines an age-friendly community as one that supports and enables older people to “age actively” – that is, to live in security, enjoy good health and continue to participate fully in society. An age-friendly community not only improves the quality of life for seniors, it also creates a more inclusive, safe and accessible community for everyone, including people with disabilities and families with young children.

This survey will help the District of Summerland better understand how Summerland’s physical and social environments impact older adults’ ability to age in place. Please answer the following questions from your perspective. The short answer questions that follow each section provide an opportunity to clarify your answers. The survey should take about 20-30 minutes to complete.

*** PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY BY October 22, 2019***
